Nordic Computer and Croatian Algebra Enter Cooperation

Nordic Computer Donates Networking Equipment for Croatian IT Educational Institution

Together with Croatian Telekom, Nordic Computer have donated refurbished networking equipment to Algebra. The aim is to increase the quality of daily teaching in studies for future IT professionals educated by Algebra.

The equipment has been installed in Algebra's classroom locations in Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek, Varaždin and Pula. It is a joint donation from Croatian Telekom and Nordic Computer, a Danish IT service company that has been operating in Croatia for some years with an office based in Zagreb. The equipment is intended for the implementation of exercises in computer studies and classes in education programs for future network professionals.

The new purchase value of the donated refurbished equipment is more than EUR 100,000 and it will significantly increase Algebra's capacity in teaching students and future technology professionals, especially in an environment in which it is necessary to ensure “hands-on” teaching during the education program.

The donation counts more than 100 pieces of specialized Cisco networking and datacenter equipment.

With this donation, Algebra provide our students with much better practical teaching in the latest technology environment. Every year our students achieve excellent results in international IT competitions as part of the Cisco Academic Program and are regularly among the best in Europe. The new equipment will give them an additional advantage and motivation to continue to achieve excellent results", says Igor Kundić, Board Member of Algebra, and thanked for the important aspect of investing in future IT professionals.

Although Nordic Computer has been present in Croatia for some years, we are extremely pleased that the market has recognized us as a high-quality and reliable supplier of refurbished cutting-edge IT infrastructure equipment. Recognition in the market has quickly brought us the opportunity to significantly help educate future computer engineers and other IT professionals by equipping Algebra's classrooms with adequate, modern datacenter hardware. We are extremely proud that current and future generations of Algebra students as well as IT professionals, who are coming for training, will come out with practical knowledge acquired on the equipment provided by Nordic Computer", finishes Dubravko Trkulja, International Key Account Manager at Nordic Computer.
